Led Zeppelin’s final tour of North America took place in 1977. The tour was a profitable one, with attendance records set for the most people ever at a single-act performance, but it suffered from many off-stage problems. It was cut short when the band received word that Robert Plant’s five-year-old son had died from a stomach virus.
