Good Riddance To Styrofoam Packing Peanuts

We ship MILLIONS of custom-made buttons every year – literally! There are lots of different applications, moving parts, and materials used when shipping out hundreds of packages a day.

With steady growth within our business year after year, we are constantly looking at new-and-improved ways to make our shipping department more efficient, and more cost effective for our customers. We took a look at how we were boxing our finished buttons. When your typical button order is completed, buttons are weighed for a final count, QC-checked, bagged, and boxed securely with styrofoam packing peanuts. These styrofoam packing peanuts have always bothered us since they are so bad for our planet, and create such a mess for customers.

After hours of brain-storming, and mock-shipping exercises, today we are proud to announce that we will no longer be shipping styrofoam packing peanuts with custom button orders. Instead, we will be using actual shelled peanuts (unsalted of course)! You can read more about our nuts here.
